Training that stopped working is a measurement problem.
Physique Analytics is a UK software business. We build Ripped AI, an analyst for people who have been training long enough to have plateaued and want to know why.
What the app does
Most fitness apps write you a workout. This one does not. It answers three questions and declines to answer anything else:
- Is my plan working? — fitted across every reading, never by subtracting the last two.
- What is the bottleneck? — read off the measurements, not chosen from a menu.
- What should change? — one thing at a time, with the evidence it came from.
It says "no change" more often than anything else
A body does not move much in a week, and most week-to-week difference is water, food and gut content rather than progress. Every reading carries a measured noise floor, and a change that sits inside it is reported as no significant change — not as an arrow pointing the way you would like it to point. An app that always has something to tell you is narrating, not measuring.
Measured and assessed are different words here
Some things can be measured from a photograph — widths, ratios, how they move over time. Others can only be judged, and we say so. Nothing is presented as a measurement that is not one, and regions a photograph cannot show are marked as unread rather than guessed at.
No score for your body
There is no overall physique rating, because a number like that is not something anyone can act on. Development and definition are reported separately, since how much muscle is there and how clearly you can see it are different questions with different answers — and treating them as one produces the most common mistake in amateur training: telling someone to train a muscle they already have.
How we handle your data
The short version
Your photographs are processed on your device. Where a body is and how big it is never leaves the phone. For the part that has to be judged rather than measured, a face-free crop is sent to our server, used once, and never written to disk.
We do not sell data, we do not run advertising, and we do not store your photographs.
The full detail, including exactly which four tables our server keeps and what is in them, is in the privacy policy.
